Risotto | Pizza | Pasta Bolognese |
Shakshuka | Pasta with sun-dried tomatoes | Thin pancakes |
Carbonara | Meat & mushrooms with sour cream |
Ingredients:
Step 1
Get a pan with tall sides. Put it on high heat, put some olive oil and lay your chicken thighs. Pull them out when they are brown. No need to cook them through, they will cook in the rice later.
Step 2
Chop the veggies, put them in the pan, get them nice and brown.
Step 3
Put the unwashed rice to vegetables, toast it a bit (but toasting your rice for too long will make the risotto less creamy).
Step 4
Deglaze with white wine if you have it. Pour enough chicken stock to cover the rice and let it simmer by itself. Add your aromatics (pepper, basil, thyme).
Step 5
Cut up chicken thighs into small pieces, put it back in the pan, stir the rice from time to time. If rice is starting to go dry, pour more stock.
Step 6
When the grains are still a litle crunchy, turn off the heat. By the time you get to eat, the rice will be perfect. Put some chopped garlic.
Step 7
Put the butter and grated cheese in. Taste for salt, you might need to add some if stock and cheese weren't salty enough.
Ingredients:
Step 1
Dice a bunch of carrots. Cut one large onion (or two smaller ones). Fry them in olive oil on the high heat until they are nice and brown.
Step 2
Remove vegetables from the pan, put the ground meat. Mash it up until there are no clumps left. Cook until the water evaporates.
Step 3
Put a can of tomato paste to the meat, put the vegetables back (they would burn if we keeped them). Put canned tomatoes into the pan.
Step 4
Pour your chicken stock, let it cook for about 3 hours. Stir every 15 minutes or so.
Step 5
After 3 hours it's time to season. Put dried basil, oregano, a bit of dried thyme, a lot of garlic powder, pepper. Salt the sauce, make it a little too strong, because the flavor will be dilluted by the rest of the food.
Step 6
Boil the spaghetti. Add sauce to them, some fresh basil, grate the parmesan on top.
Ingredients:
Step 1
Mix 6 tablespoons of sugar with 4 eggs. Add a pinch of salt.
Step 2
Add half a glass of milk. Mix well, then add enough flour to get a texture of very thick mousse.
Step 3
Start diluting the batter with milk. Add milk until the texture gets perfect. What is the perfect texture? Well, I don't know. The one that you like.
Step 4
Add 3 tablespoons of oil or melted butter and mix well.
Step 5
Put the pan on high heat. Rub it with a tissue soaked in oil so pancakes don't stick. First few pancakes will be test ones: you will adjust your batter depending on how they come out.
